to become bored
when questioning,
"What is so important?"

upon putting ones back up
as a cat arching its back when angry
after perhaps having had
ones back up against a wall

all along backwaters
while choralists call:
"Get back get back
get back to where
you once belonged"
from the lyrics
of a popular song

becoming readily portable
in the offing just days before
so often inducing longing
like the-long-and-the-short
-of-it-all being ignored

while neatly thwarting
shaping points of origin
rightly or wrongly pre-recorded
perpetual performances
as portents of final choices
having once been coined:
"Never More"...
